Falcon Girls Repeat as CAA Swimming Champions !!!

UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA AQUATIC CENTER APRIL 2013
The Swimming Falcon Junior Girls team retained their Junior Division Championship by outdistancing the Nativity Nighthawks 840-779 in the 2013 Catholic Athletic Association Swimming Championships held April 9th & 10th. St. Thomas Moore was 3rd with 470 points and St. Joseph came in 4th with 446 points out of a 20 team field. The Girls Squad understood every place in the CAA Championships would be earned rightfully so. The girls knew what needed to be done and left no doubt to a near capacity crowd at the University's Natatorium. They Understood and carried through with the plan with resounding authority in the water finishing in the Top 3 places in numerous events !!
The Swimming Falcon Junior Boys equaled their 2012 standings by finishing 5th in their divison out of a 17 team field.Lifetime and Personal bests and team records were achieved across the board as months of smart training paid off.
Excitement prevailed both nights at the University’s Aquatic Complex as, Personal Best Times were recorded, records were broken by Falcon Swimmers, and Trophies were awarded to All Saints. The “ Frosting on the Cake “ was the repeat ceremonial plunge taken by Head Coach Peter Schrock, with the help of Falcon Swimmers , after receiving the 1st Place Trophy Wednesday Night after the results were announced for the Girls. Valuable Life Lessons were reinforced to the team, once again, emphasizing what the persistence and diligence of working for goals can provide. Another “ Moment in the Sun “ for sure, and more Memories which will last a Lifetime.
